I'm sure most of you know that Charlie won the Primary Election: 64% to 36%! Now he's moving on to face another formidable opponent in the General Election. But we stopped that night to enjoy the moment. Here are a few pictures from Election night.
We were lucky to have so many friends and family help with the campaign. Jennifer and Julia both drove Charlie as he campaigned, participated in sign waves, designed and made signs among other things. Every thing--whether big or little--contributed to his success.
Carri was Charlie's Campaign Manager. She worked tirelessly to keep us on track, on message and on the street...walking. Thanks, Carri!
Jackson had a lot of fun, too! He campaigned for Charlie at every stop. He has now determined that he is going to run for Mayor.
Both Charlie and Senator Pilcher-Cook were both on the winning side. Audrey was a huge help on both campaigns.
It was nice to have our friends around us as we celebrated! We were joined by so many people...no doubt drawn into the room by the smell of my mom's brisket.
The Honorable Owen Donohoe is retiring which made way for Charlie to run in the 39th District. Thank you, Owen for believing in Charlie. He won't let you down.
While only seven percent of precincts were reporting at this time, the numbers never changed. Charlie's victory was significant as was the wins for other Conservatives in Kansas. It is time for a change!
