I actually do have an excuse for not posting much lately. Charlie ran for Shawnee City Council this year and that has taken up all our time for the last four months. We walked door to door, planted signs, attended meetings, spoke at events, walked in parades, all with the help of our family and friends. We did every thing we were supposed to do. But, alas, we did not prevail. Even though he lost, he ran a great race against an intrenched incumbent. Charlie received 45 percent of the vote, for which we were happy. As Jackson would say, "Daddy, I'm proud of you!" On to the next race!
