Christmas 2010

Christmas was so much fun this year. Jackson really got into it...as did we. On Christmas Eve, we made cookies for Santa and put them on his special plate by the fireplace. We had been telling Jackson that he may be able to hear the reindeer hooves on the roof and that he should listen for them. So, on Christmas morning, he woke up and ran downstairs to see if the cookies were gone. When he saw them gone, he looked at us and exclaimed, "I knew I heard the reindeer hooves!" That was only the start of the fun. It's important to us that Jackson know the real meaning of Christmas, so we read the Christmas story before we open any presents. And then we sing "Happy Birthday" to Jesus and celebrate with a cake.
Jackson got to blow out the candles.Only after that can we open our packages. And, there were a lot of packages!
Ripping into packages is definitely a skill we've mastered. Here's Jackson with Jingle...one of his favorites. We spent most of the day just like this...playing with all our new stuff in our jammies.
