This weekend Jackson displayed his appreciation of the arts as we spent some time at the Plaza Art Fair and the Overland Park Fall Festival.

The Plaza Art Fair is a yearly event where fine artists from all over the country come to display and sell their work. According to Jackson's critical judgement, there were some very spectacular pieces of art on display...especially the glass and photography. You can see how thrilled he is with the various collections.

Later in the afternoon we visited the Overland Park Fall Festival where the displays were more of the arts and crafts genre. We saw our friend Julie at her booth where she was selling her dresses, holiday decorations and, my favorite, coffee cozies. (Nicely done, Julie!!)

But of all the things we saw that day, the thing our little connoisseur discerned to be the best in any field was Dan the Balloon Man.

His "performance art" held Jackson's rapt attention for at least five minutes...pretty good for a 19-month old.
